Unit Overview

Through the conceptual lens of EQUILIBRIUM, students will develop an understanding between balance, the weight of objects, and how objects are positioned. Students will experiment with a fulcrum, a beam balance, and an equal arm balance. Students will use standard and non-standard measurements to find the weight of objects. They will also compare relationships between the size of an object and its weight.
