Digital Wish

I am so thankful for the donations and interest in my classroom. I have agreed to teach a second/third grade combo class next year and will be taking half of my class for third grade. With that, I am having to change rooms. I will be moving into the old office room. The following are some pictures of what it looks like currently. And if you scroll down you will see pictures of my current room. Courtney is pictured with me as she will be one of my third grade students next year. The LCD Promethean screen is a 10 point touch where my current one is 4 point. The clarity of the picture is also amazing and is just like a TV. There is no need for a projector and other wiring systems. When we Skype with other countries it is often blurred with the current system in place. This is one of my main reasons for the upgrade. The students are really engaged when we visit other classrooms around the world and United States.  I am a fully rotational model teacher and the board is used by all the students all day long. It is not used as a over the top white board. I just want to thank you again for making this happen. Tuesday STEM

STEM Club update

This week will be the last week for the rocket sessions. October 14th, Tuesday afterschool, we will begin the flipchart sessions. Students will meet me in the computer lab for this project. STEM club ends at 4:45 and you can use the turn around by the old office to pickup your child. This is a large group as there will be 61 students participating between the two days. Thursday's session will occur at lunch. Students are encouraged to bring a packed lunch (speeds up the process), they are to eat with their class, then report to the computer lab.
